On The Sunny Side Of The Street

Writing is very important. You release your thoughts in your writing, and your thoughts are very vulnerable things to reveal...they're uniquely you, and although other people may share things that pop into your brain as well, nobody else knows what you are thinking but you. Thoughts are things; you can't see them but they're just as powerful as anything tangible. What you repeatedly think, you come to believe, your beliefs become your values, and these are essential to you. Remember, when you're going through your busy, or not-so busy day, how important it is to think before you speak. As Craig Ferguson said, "Does this need to be said?" Words can cut figuratively speaking and hurt just as badly as a cut from a knife. "Sticks and stones can break bones, but words can break hearts." (Tim Minchin) So just as you're careful (hopefully) with what you say, you also need to be mindful of what you think. I've heard that it's something like 50,00...

Love & only love

When my heart is feeling cold, When my soul is growing old, Tell me you're the one I've told: "I love you without reason" There is no need for me to have There is only love and love is mad. You can win your dreams or lose it bad; I dream, I won you When my heart tips upside down, When my smile has left to frown, I'm nothing if you're not around — Love will not be lost And when my days feel all anew, When my thoughts are coming through, Don't let me forget the best view: Love and only love. Poem by me 1yr ago today. :)
Tonight, I lean on my window pane I feel tears streak down my cheeks Try as I might, night after night, insane Love evades me so I just weep I feel my soul kick inside me, as if to tell me I am real Losing it all so no one will find you; morning is breaking like steel And in the quietest depths of that Which brings your essence peace Not for the darkest, biggest trap That sorrow falls to never cease But in one's heart, a soldier: a spirit true and just and plain Toils away his bitterest hours, Sour, and beguiling, in vain The barren road upon which the soldier treads Stretches out in all its wonder, Masking light and throwing it asunder, With fear and awful dread.

A couple summarized quotes

Life is difficult. Once we truly know that life is difficult, once we truly understand & accept it, life is no longer difficult. Once we accept it, it no longer matters.  You can enhance the pleasure of life by meeting and experiencing the pain first and getting it over with.  Meditations from the road by Scott Peck
