Ginger in Progress

Tonight, I lean on my window pane I feel tears streak down my cheeks Try as I might, night after night, insane Love evades me so I just weep I feel my soul kick inside me, as if to tell me I am real Losing it all so no one will find you; morning is breaking like steel And in the quietest depths of that Which brings your essence peace Not for the darkest, biggest trap That sorrow falls to never cease But in one's heart, a soldier: a spirit true and just and plain Toils away his bitterest hours, Sour, and beguiling, in vain The barren road upon which the soldier treads Stretches out in all its wonder, Masking light and throwing it asunder, With fear and awful dread.

Life is difficult. Once we truly know that life is difficult, once we truly understand & accept it, life is no longer difficult.
