Bargain Beauty: Who Knew The Dollar Tree Had Such Good Makeup?!?!

L.A. Colors Eyeshadow Palette
I am beyond happy with this!! I love that it gives you a bunch of different shades of pink to play with. (Hence the name Playful perhaps!) haha. As you can see, I've tried out the bottom 3 shades, I LOVE THEM. They are very pigmented. I don't know how they do it for the price. The packaging isn't anything special and it gets stuck if you close the plastic top all the way, so I guess that's where they're saving their money lol. I notice the most popular beauty brands (Benefit, Too Faced) that are super pretty and make you wanna get them have the prettiest packaging. So looking at just the bones of the product, these shadows are really nice. I wanted some good pinks for spring. Pink is also a good color to bring out the green in hazel eyes :) and looks pretty on brown eyes too! My eyes are hazel-brown. When I wear black mascara and liner, my eyes look brown so I wanted to flatter them with the right colors. Very happy with my purchase! This is just the type of palette I was looking for. Thank you, Dollar Tree!

The Dollar Tree has hits and misses all the time with their beauty aisle. Every time I go there, it's either a really crappy selection or really awesome selection of makeup.

I hit the jackpot with their nail polishes this time, as I was looking for neon pink for spring & summer, and I found a TON of neons!!! They had highlighter pen color yellow, neon green, bright orange, hot pink and so many more really cool colors but I didn't want to stock up. I got these 2 shades...they pink is VERY neon in person! The orange is a nice, bright summery orange. I'm so happy to find the right pink for summer! Sinful Colors discontinued their neon pink, which I used to get at Harmon's. :( I found it on Amazon for $999.99. I don't know who'd buy that, but I guess there are some diehard fans of that color out there! lol this color is just as good :)

I also got a rose colored lip liner by Milani, which I had no idea the Dollar Tree sold! I've only ever seen Milani at CVS, and the same lip liner was $4.29 there last week! It's not a big name brand but it gets the job done better than the 99¢ lip liners at Walgreens. 

Then I found this AcneFree gentle cleansing bar! I've used it before, I got my last one at Walgreens on clearance for about $4, originally much more (I forget the original price). But it's a very nice soap bar for washing your chest, shoulders and back especially if you sweat a lot in the summer, workout, or are prone to acne breakouts on your body. It's very gentle and doesn't bother my face either, but I still just use it for my body. It's got exfoliating beads in it to help slough away dead skin. Leaves my skin soft! The smell is pleasant. 



Arm & Hammer Baking Soda. Now this isn't beauty but it's sure useful for TONS of other things! This one I'm dedicating to the fridge since it has these special sides that prevent spills! You can turn it upside down and in every direction as it'll usually wind up happening amongst lots of other stuff in the fridge, so that's one less worry for me thinking about it possibly spilling. It absorbs odors from the food so your fridge isn't stinky. :) whoever created this product design is very innovative & I'm happy with this purchase!



NYC Expert Last Lip Color in Immortal Vixen, L.A. Colors Loose Pink Eyeshadow

My, oh my! What a vamp-y lip. I love it! This is just what I was looking for! I didn't wanna spend a fortune on a really good, dark lipstick since I don't plan on wearing it a whole heck of a lot of the time, but I'm in the mood occasionally for a semi-gothic look. :) it's very sexy and I love this color so much! It's very pigmented and lasts until you eat of course. || The shimmering loose shadow is a type of product I'd never tried. I saw the exact type of product only by NYX on ULTA's website that I was about to buy. It's got a little brush inside it and you turn the bottle upside down to get it to distribute onto the brush. It's fun! I like how shimmery it is for when I'm in the mood for that kind of look. Shimmery and glittery is playful! It's not extremely pink, just a subtle light pink. It's quite pretty.
